Spiritually speaking:why does science make everything boring?

im 13 and in school and i hate science because it makes things boring for one, science says that the sun is a big hot ball of lava or something and in ancient mythology it says that the sun was dragged by chariot r something and its so much cooler. why does science turn cool things into boring stuff
