Will 64bit Maya work on Mac OS?

I was wondering if my Windows 64bit version of Autodesk Maya (located on my external terabyte drive) will work when opened on a Mac? It obviously won't open on a computer using Windows 32bit, but is there a way to make it work on Mac OS?
