Question on my new Cartilage piercing?

Well, yesterday I got a new Cartilage piercing and supposedly it wasn't supposed to hurt while i got it, but it was supposed to hurt like hell afterward while it was healing? Well for me it was the complete opposite. It hurt when she pierced it -3- Badly. But After like ten minutes it stopped hurting. Its been over 24 hours, ive cleaned it three times, (yesterday once and in the morning today and a few minutes ago) And it doesn't hurt at all. I even went to sleep no problem and woke up on that ear. No pain. When i clean it and twist it i also feel no pain or discomfort. Is something wrong or am I just Really Really lucky.
