Is it good to learn all graphics softwares?

It would probably be more streamlined to choose among the various subcategories of graphics design and pick 1 software to learn that particular area. For example: photo-editing = Photoshop, digital drawing = Illustrator, 3D modeling and animation = 3ds Max, etc.
